It took more than 1 large drawing to capture her.
Yup they all travel on the buses!
another thrilled police person.
Believe it or not they came for some ice cream.
The best part is seeing an amazing young woman with her dad and portrait.
The mothers club members came.
They ate more ice cream.
They Listened.
You can too!!
Word got out about the cups.

Mothers’ Club – the process
More than just a simple line.
Innocently small.
Music magically connects culture & learning.
Weekly I draw in the corridor.
People stop & contemplate.

Simply pencil.
The children visited the LA Zoo, made drawings of animals and we recorded animal sounds. Thank you teachers & staff.

Powerful, strong, disciplined & feminine. Inspiring & beautiful.
I tried to catch her essence at Perry’s Joint Cafe. It took weeks.
Photos, conversations & watercolors rough out my impressions.
Fatima boxes for life. I watch her box – afternoon training.
